In the security section of your settings, you can turn Two-factor authentication on or off.

Securing your account is a top priority, and enabling Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an excellent way to enhance its Security. You can set up 2FA for your Guilded account by following simple steps. This additional layer of protection helps safeguard your account from unauthorized access, ensuring peace of mind and maintaining the integrity of your data.

• Go to your settings by clicking on the cogwheel icon near your profile.

• Click Security, then click Enable.

• Type in your password and press Continue.

• If you still need to get a mobile authenticator, you will need to download one to your phone. You can use Google Authenticator for iPhone or Android,  Authy, or an authenticator of your choosing.

• Scan the QR code with your mobile device to connect your Guilded account to your authenticator. 

• Enter the code active from your authenticator app.

If you get an Incorrect Code message - please check your device time settings, we recommend your device sets the time automatically as authenticators rely on the time being correct on your device.

• A unique recovery code will display on the screen. Please save this in a secure location. 

• That's it! Your account is secured with 2-factor authentication.

Important

 Please keep your backup code safe. Guilded cannot remove 2FA or issue you a new backup code. If you have lost or do not have access to your backup code, you will have to create a new account.
