How to Clone an Existing Role
Cloning a role is a quick and easy way to duplicate an existing role’s permissions without having to start from scratch. This is ideal when you're looking for a new role with a similar setup, just under a different name, or with a few minor adjustments.
Whether you're streamlining moderation roles, organizing teams, or creating tiered permissions, the clone feature saves time and keeps things consistent.
Steps to Clone a Role
- Click the caret button next to your server name.
- Click Settings.
- Select Roles from the sidebar.
- Right-click the role you want to duplicate and choose Clone.
- Rename your new role, adjust the color or settings as needed.
- Drag the new role to its place in the hierarchy.
- Click Save changes.
