Q. When do I get charged for my subscription?
Charges are made when you purchase a subscription tier, and then monthly on the same day each month.
Q. What payment methods can I use?
All major debit and credit cards are accepted.
Q. If I upgrade my subscription, will I be charged for both tiers?
No, you’ll only be charged the difference between the two tiers.
Example: If you’re on the Copper Tier ($5) and upgrade to Silver ($10), you’ll only be charged $5 at the time of the upgrade. Your total billing for the month will be $10.
Q. Is it safe to make a payment using my card on Guilded?
Yes! Payments are processed through Stripe, which is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1 — the highest level of certification in the payments industry.
Q. Does Guilded hold any of my payment details?
No, all payment information is securely stored by Stripe. Guilded never has access to your financial data.
Q. I downgraded my tier. Why isn’t it showing yet?
Your current tier will stay active until the end of your billing cycle. The downgrade will apply automatically at the start of the next billing period.
Example: If you're downgrading from Silver ($10) to Copper ($5), no new charges will be made until your current billing cycle ends. You’ll be charged $5 at the start of your next billing period.
Q. What happens if the creator changes the cost of my subscription?

If the price goes up, your subscription will be canceled at the end of the billing period. You’ll need to re-subscribe at the new price.

If the price goes down, your subscription will continue at the lower rate from your next renewal date.
Q. My payment was declined. What happens to my subscription?
If a recurring payment fails, we’ll retry for 72 hours. If it’s still unsuccessful, your subscription will be canceled, and you’ll lose access to the role and benefits.
To continue receiving benefits, you’ll need to re-subscribe.
Q. Can I cancel my subscription?

Q. Can I get a refund?
Subscribers are charged immediately upon subscribing and then monthly on the same day.
Guilded doesn’t process refunds, since payments are handled between server owners and subscribers. If you’d like a refund, you can reach out directly to the server admin — but please note they’re not obligated to approve the request.
