Fees and Payouts
Q: What are the fees for using Server Subs?
A: Fees are deducted when a subscription is purchased.
- Guilded fee: 2.5% of processed payments
- Stripe fees:
- US: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
- EU: 1.4% + €0.30 per transaction
- AU: 1.75% + A$0.30 (domestic), 2.9% + A$0.30 (international)
Q: Are there any fees for payouts I receive?
A: Yes, a small fee of 0.25% + $0.25 is taken from each payout.
Q: When do I receive the money for my subs?
A: Payouts are processed automatically on the 1st of every month.
Subscription Renewal & Changes
Q: Do my server subs automatically renew?
A: Yes, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the billing period.
Q: What happens if a subscriber upgrades or downgrades their tier?
A: Upgrading: Subscribers are only charged the difference between tiers. For example, upgrading from a $5 tier to a $10 tier will result in a $5 charge.
Downgrading: Subscribers remain on their current tier until the end of the billing period. The lower tier takes effect at the start of the next cycle.
Q: What happens if I change the price of a tier while someone is subscribed?
A: Price increase: Subscriptions will be canceled at the end of the current billing period. Members will need to resubscribe at the new price.
Price decrease: Subscriptions will continue as normal, renewing at the lower price.
Q: What happens if a subscriber cancels?
A: They retain access to their current tier until the end of the billing period.
🔐 Payment Security & Refunds
Q: Is it safe to make a payment using my card on Guilded?
A: Yes. Stripe is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified—the highest level of payment security available.
Q: Does Guilded store my payment details?
A: No. Payment details are securely stored by Stripe. Guilded never sees or stores your card information.
Q: What if a subscriber asks for a refund?
A: Subscribers must contact the server admin directly. Guilded does not process refunds, and admins are not obligated to issue them.
