Lists - Move List Items

Learn how to move list items in a Guilded List channel using the drag-and-drop feature or the quick action menu. Moving tasks makes it easier to rearrange your to-do lists and keep priorities clear.

Move Items by Drag and Drop

1. Hover over the item you want to move.

2. Click and hold the task.

3. Drag it to a new position in the list and release your mouse to drop it.

Move Items to another channel using the Action Menu

1. Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the item.

2. Select Move to channel.

3. Choose the destination list channel.

You can use this to move items between different channels or reassign them within the same one.

Move Items Using the Shortcut

1. Click on the list item you want to move.

2. Add a space after the item text and type >>.

3. A dropdown will appear showing the available list channels. Select the one you want.

4. Click Save.

5. Navigate to the new list channel — your item will appear there.

This method is fast and handy if you're already editing the task name or note.

Q: Can I move items between different list channels?
A: Yes. You can move items using the Move to channel option from the three-dot menu or by typing >> at the end of the item and selecting the destination channel. 

Q: Can I move nested items to the top level?
A: Yes. Drag the item back to the top-level position 

Q: Can I undo a move?
A: There’s no undo button, but you can simply move the item back to its original position.
